Sean Carney’s Blues For A Cure and Northstar Golf Club are teaming up again this year to bring the Second Annual “Summertime Blues For A Cure” golf outing and Blues concert to central Ohio. This two-day event will benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James) and the IMPEDE (Importance of Prevention and Early Detection) Program at Grady Memorial Hospital. Presenting sponsors for this event are The Robert Weiler Company Realtors and Nationwide Insurance Company.

Blues Concerts
Friday at NorthStar Golf Club
Prepare to be impressed by the Sean Carney Band “Camp Blues” student concert. After a week of training under the tutelage of three of central Ohio’s most talented musicians covering guitar, bass and drums, the “Camp Blues” class covering all ages will put on a rousing performance of some of your favorite Blues tunes. Bring your appetite as NorthStar Golf Club will be hosting a cookout with your favorite grill food and beverages.

Saturday at Northstar Golf Club
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for an evening under the stars with delicious southern barbeque vittles from Shane’s Rib Shack and all your favorite beverages available for purchase. No coolers please. Following the golf outing, there will be an outdoor Blues Concert with the following artists.
2007 International Blues Challenge champions, Columbus’s own Sean Carney Band featuring 2007 International Blues Challenge “Albert King” most promising guitar player and Category 5 Amplification endorsed Sean Carney with a very special appearance by blues guitar legend Little Charlie Baty.
