MPLX Gathering and Processing presents the Eleventh Annual Sean Carney's Blues For A Cure 2022 – Harrison County.  A Free Public Concert to be held Friday (6pm start) June 24 and Saturday (4pm start) June 25, 2022, at Sally Buffalo Park, 43000 Industrial Park Rd., Cadiz, Ohio.  The proceeds benefit WVU Harrison Community Hospital Foundation and the Harrison County Cancer Crusaders.  Since inception, this annual charity concert event has raised nearly $250,000 for the local area.  Blues For A Cure, has raised over $400,000 since Sean Carney started the fund in 2007.  This is the second year the event is a two-night concert.

Three International Blues Challenge (IBC) Guitar Champions will be featured at this year’s concert.  Headlining the event, hailing from Nashville, is 2003 International Blues Challenge Guitar Champion Stacy Mitchhart and his namesake band. Rounding out the list of Guitar Champions is 2015 IBC “Best Guitarist”, Noah Wotherspoon; and event namesake 2007 IBC Guitar Champion Sean Carney.  And to pay tribute to our local talent, we’re thrilled to feature who we consider the best guitarist in the Ohio Valley, Roger Hoard, with the Hoard & Jones band.

This Blues For A Cure concert will serve as the CD Release of Blues Cures 13, the thirteenth CD in the series of Live Studio Jams with the artists who've been a part of our concerts in the past decade. Among the artists featured on this release are Nick Schnebelen Band, Matt O’Ree Band featuring Eryn O’Ree, Bart Walker; Scotty Bratcher, Noah Wotherspoon; Sean Carney, Lenny Fatigati, Jason Edwards, and Matt Salvo. The CDs will be available as a free gift for a minimum $10 donation.   

This event is BYOB. Food, water and soda will be available for purchase from Buckey’s Smokehouse, Harrison Huskies Band Boosters and Cadiz American Legion Auxiliary.  Please bring your lawn chairs, sun tents and blankets.
