Sean's Notes
Blues Cures Volume 7 may be the most adventurous recording in this series with a playlist that reflects just about every possible variety of the Blues and even steps out here and there - but never too far! I am humbled and honored to boast that Jimmy Thackery, J.P. Soars & The Red Hots and Jonn “Del Toro” Richardson are regular contributors, while I welcome a host of incredible talent appearing here for the first time Billy “The Kid” Evanochko & The Regulators, Gina Sicilia and her band, Tonky de la Pena (from Madrid, Spain), and The Dany Franchi Band (from Genoa, Italy). Considering the level of musicianship involved and the 15 songs here, I will let this incredible live-in-the-studio original recording speak for itself, but I’ll reiterate our collective desire to see cancer eliminated from our lives. As always, this one is from our hearts.
Sean Carney

“I dedicate my work on this CD to my grandfather who lost his battle with cancer in 2004.” - Olas Ortwein
“I want to dedicate this to everyone who has lost a loved one or has a friend or loved one that is battling cancer. This disease touches us all one way or another. I lost my father Johnnie Richardson to it and numerous friends, but also know many who have beaten it, like my Big Sis Delaina Bradshaw, so I dedicate this to all. Sending love and powerful healing to everyone in the fight!” – Jonn “Del Toro” Richardson
"I'd like to dedicate my performance to my mom, and breast cancer survivor, Montez Key. She has been the biggest supporter of my musical career! Thanks again Sean, Mark and Steve, you are doing a great thing!" - Scott Key
"Dedicated to all research facilities working to cure cancer and all other immune system disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis that has affected me dramatically. I want to take this opportunity to recognize Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem, North Carolina." - Mark Bumgarner
“I would like to keep in mind while performing on this CD my sisters, Pat Godin Starling and Cindi Godin Burbacher, survivors of breast cancer. My father, Andre Godin, who lost a leg to tissue cancer in 1969. Also, recently, my sister-in-law Amy Jordan, who just finished 22 weeks of chemo in December 2014 for breast cancer. I love you all.” - James Andre Godin
"I'd like to dedicate to my father Steve Laudicina, who I lost this past year to cancer. He was my biggest inspiration, and I'd like to thank him for everything he did for me. He taught me to follow my dreams!" - Steve Laudicina
“The Dany Franchi Band would like to dedicate our performances to the memories of ‘King Saxe’ Gene Walker and ‘Cobbler’ John Bolen.” - Dany Franchi, Andrea Tassarra & Carlo Delapiane

“Sadly, there is always a friend to bid farewell. My musical contribution is in memory of my dear friend ‘Charlie’ Marion, who succumbed to lung cancer in June 2015.” - Sean Carney
"The blues is our Art, as musicians we paint our picture often colorful and vibrant, always open, honest and direct. In the end we leave it all on the stage like the painter on the canvas as if we never will have one more minute to do it again."- C.O. Moore Saxophone

I wish to dedicate all my work and efforts on this CD to the memory of Don Henderson. A great man and tough as the block and bricks he laid as a mason. He built many great things in his life, but none more significant than the memories of his love and dedication to his church and family. – Mark Puskarich
